When local brewers get their hands on some fresh Oregon-grown hops it’s a beautiful thing and we want to share it with the masses. More details to come. Check back as the list of participating breweries grows.
Typically, the fragrant, flowery cones that give beer its bitterness, flavor and aroma are dried for use in brewing. Brewers use fresh hops or "wet hops" to make a mellower, earthy beer. Fresh hops have to be used quickly and the resulting wet-hopped beer is generally a limited edition. This festival is your opportunity to check out the fresh hop creations of 27 breweries.
